Has anyone else had bad experiences of this?  I got the Very Best of The Smiths some time ago, but was ripping it to MP3 but the sound quality was abysmal.   I wish I could find the original receipt and send the CD back.  It was distorted and inaudible.

That's what you get when you pay a penny for a cd.

Au contraire, this is one I paid a fiver for in HMV.  A new digital remaster (sigh!). The Ride CD I got for a penny sounds great despite all the scratches.

You'll have to write to Morrissey then, to complain about how his lifes work is being ruined by some guy with shaky hands in a remastering studio.
