Win tickets to chagstock

I've just purchased a ticket for Chagstock, for the Saturday 20 July, for £45. Will worry about accomodation and flights later.Could be a late night, as the e- ticket says 9am to 23.45!smile.gif

Well done to Wes and Suss for going to Australia. It's way too expensive for me, but other Irish/UK/ European dates might be managed.

You will have to listen to the Room 19 show on 23 March.  It will be broadcast at 2 pm and then put up on the http://toginet.com/shows/room19 website mid week following that if you missed it.  I'm assuming all details will be on there of how to actually enter.  Good luck ArrGee!

Simon Ford from the Chagstock festival says. "We are delighted to announce the Boomtown Rats will exclusively headline our main stage at Chagstock. Room 19 will be giving away 2 pairs of tickets for this festival. Listen to Room 19 on Saturday 23rd March at 2pm to hear how you can win the tickets. The queston will also appear on bobgeldof.com and we will post the question on this forum. So lots of ways to get the right answer to us.

Yes I noticed that late timing. I don't do late nights well, but will have to hope the adrenaline will keep me going.

Last years Chagstock festival was a sell out ie 5,000 people, so hopefully it will be the same this year. From a bit of research it seems to be one of the better organised and liked festivals, perhaps it's limited size is good. Personally I have never liked huge festivals with huge crowds.

Pah,  Justine (sic) Bieber would still be going at that time.  Loved going to see Happy Mondays/Black Grape, used to be able to get the first tube home by the time they were done, rarely did they start before midnight.

Justine (sic) Bieber's fans are tiny and had to go to bed. Rats fans are old and have to go to bed.

Speak for yourself.   I was gonna be a 24 hour party person for Cork, but annoyingly the afternoon flight is no longer on the Ryanair schedule.  It will have to be a 6am departure on Friday if I go.  Devon has started to look more attractive.

 Cork

  • Can do it in a single day, but have to take day off work
  • Flight - £68
  • Ticket -  45 euro
  • Taxis  - 30 euro  to airport & back

Devon

  • Will take all weekend
  • Hotel  - £60
  • Car Hire -£40
  • Lots of good beer

Looks like the balance is swinging towards Devon.  Mrs. ArrGee and Junior ArrGees quite fancy a weekend away, and given car hire is as cheap as chips from Stansted...
