"The trees, those useless trees, produce the air that I am breathing"

http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/tm_objectid=17767184&method=full&siteid=66633&headline=bob-in-for-stick--name_page.html

SIR Bob Geldof has upset his neighbour by chopping down a tree.

Bob had the 40ft tree axed during work at his home in Faversham, Kent.

Neighbour Andrew Osborne wrote to the local council, complaining that the tree was protected by a preservation order.

But Geldof, 54, was cleared after he argued that he had the tree chopped down because it was dangerous.

The Live 8 organiser is renovating an old coach house at his home so his dad Bob, 92, can move in.

Mr Osborne said: "Bob gives the impression of being an environmental campaigner, but then cuts down a large tree."
