We are thinking of taping the whole show, but it will be messy (i.e. over two tapes) and not official, just wondering if there might be a DVD brought out sometime soon? I'd rather have something official and DVD.

Well i've got all of Live8 taped and I think i'll like that more than the DVD because it has got all the interviews along the day as well but I will be getting the DVD when it comes out but i'll probably keep the tapes so i've still got the interviews and the build-up to the event

I believe EMI is set to make it, produce, and distribute it by December.

If that's true, the question becomes this: Will it show everything, all performances from every location, or just the crappy coverage that I saw in America?

Well, I know it's a bit of a boo-boo but some naughty, naughty people are selling the whole 11 hours coverage shown yesterday on the BBC in the UK on ebay at the moment. Although I'm pretty sure people selling the Live Aid coverage on ebay was the reason Bob brought it out on DVD..so one would assume he's not best pleased about the situation.

However, if you can't wait 'til December to watch it...

Well...... Seeing as how EMI have the rights to the DVD and 37 of the artists who performed have a record contract with EMI it's anyones guess what footage will appear and in what priority.
