 Didn't hear the interview - but useful to know, at least I can restrain myself and avoid embarrassment when I go to see them now

Heard some of the radio show and one of the presenters seemed to think Mondays was written because the Rats didn't like Mondays due to some incident that happened in the States - but wasn't sure what ....... I'm not sure if that makes me feel old or just more intelligent! 

But I guess any publicity is better than none!

 Don't know about them but I am . Just got back after doing the 3, and putting 600 miles on my clock. At least the band were being ferried on their bus.

Think only Mondays went out live on 3 Counties from Luton, and set was fairly short so pretty much restricted to the singles. Crowd was ok considering it never stopped raining the whole time from when I arrived - maybe 70 close to stage under the canopy and same again under various nearby trees. I threw my pants on stage obviously.

Probably 250-300 at Morecambe, and pretty much only me and Wes that didn't have a) mohican b) leather jacket c) bondage trousers. Fairly hard core punk acts before Rats - I feared the worst - but they went down well considering. Wisely left out I Can Make It If You Can though  . She's So Modern and  Looking After No 1 went down a storm. Rat Trap also, although PA failed half way through.

OsFest was in a huge country park, prob thousands on the site, and again maybe 300 paying attention to the Rats. Great to see a girl maybe 19-20 who knew all the words right up the front. Might put her in touch with Peter 

Three gigs in 24 hours is really good going. Simon Crowe said in the interview with the Bucks Free Press about the forthcoming Penn Street Festival that live festival gigs was the way to go rather than relying on record companies to sell records as in the old days. There seems to be a very healthy local festival scene in Britain which avoids all the big Monsters of Rock type gigs- lots of folk festivals etc.

Gary's reply about the knickers being throw on stage was something like ...well if it does happen nowadays the knickers tend to be larger! You know who you are!

BTW Yesterdays interview with Gary Roberts was preceded by an item about a local  pie throwing festival and copious reports of the traffic situation in Tring and Sandy.

Itinerary I've got is:-

22/7 Easyjet Gatwick (LGW) to Berlin Schonefeld (SXF) 0640 departure

Pick up hire car in Berlin

Gigs

Drop off hire car in Amsterdam

24/7 Easyjet Amsterdam Schipol (AMS) to Gatwick 1910 departure

Same flights were still available at total approx £180 yesterday. I'll have room for one or two in car which could keep price down for all of us. I've only booked Berlin hotel so far (Alt-Tempelhof, about 70 euro); will look for digs on arrival in Ahmsen.

p.s. If it's not the Ahmsen I found on map on western edge of Germany I've got a helluva drive to Amsterdam to look forward to....
