Hi folks, this is my very first post. I am about the same age as Bob, (am I the oldest here?) and have grown up along side him. I admire Bob for his music and his humanitarian efforts. He has a huge heart and really cares about inequalities and what kind of planet we are leaving for the next generation. He may be an egotistical, grumpy old man,(by his own admission), but that is how he gets things done. Nobody listens to mild mannered yes men, do they?
Anyway, is anybody going to Perth? Can't make it The new Music Hall is beautiful, with a great auditorium. Well signposted from the city centre. (Some say concert hall) It has a big reataurant/bar. Good place to eat is the Bothy, opposite the Hall. Good shops for the ladies. Parking is NOT easy in Perth. Park on the South Insch on the outskirts and walk (10 mins). If you come early take a run up the A9 and see some stunning country or pop into Gleneagles for a wee cup of tea. (Just say you are a friend of Bob's)
I want to start a campaign to see Bob in a kilt. A black sexy leather one. He owes Scotland that. And he has to be a true Scot. What do you think Ladies?
Time to stop havering. (Proclaimers know what that means-see EDIN Live 8)
WELCOME! DID YOU GET TO GLEN ROTHES A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO GREAT NIGHT THEY HAD THAT BLOKE ON THAT DID BOB ON STARS IN YOUR EYES IM NOT BEING FUNNY HE WAS SH_TE A COPPER AS WELL NIGHTMARE!! FFN NIGHTMARE!!
I agree, Bob in a black leather kilt - that would be something! lol, "hot legs", or something...
I'm not going to Perth, but have been to Glenrothes. An experience of its own, I must say... What a place. But the show was good, I thought the Bob impersonator was very brave to be singing onstage with him. And he wasn't that bad, I think!
That should have read "older and wiser" ! Do you like my avatar. It is my favourite pic of Bob, looking every inch the male model. Is it beside the Thames, or the Liffy? I think the latter. You can see the original if you type Geldof into Google images. It is on the second page.
