Great work again Suss. Pretty difficult and mystifying in places so it's a work in progress. Listed below are my across solutions, and I'll leave the down solutions till another day ( have about half the down ones done, but will give someobody else a chance. Don't all rush now! Love the complete frontman one, RFZG is the clue for anyone lost, but it does sound like a German tv station!
33 D (crossword clue, not bra size!) Subway Systems
Got some of the ones Noel did - but not had time to do all of the clues as having such an eggciting Easter time with lots of relatives visiting, so trying to avoid too many cross words!!! Would probably be more motivated too if there was a prize ........
Some quick notes. Brenda Spenser shootings took place in San Diego, so its more likely CA than LA.
Braun is very clever. I was thinking the answer was Suzie, as in Suzie is a jewel, she flashes when she smiles. Was thinking of some sort of electric flash type connection.
Surely Rats used piano well before Mondays so not sure about that 5 word clue. Piano on Joey, Clockwork for example. Fingers was hardly waiting for the call up well into the third album.
The one with 28th is something to do with Nothing Happened Today ' and this is the date March 28th', but I'm stumped.
The line 'She grins tootlessly' is from Icicle In the Sun' so maybe its icicle(6). Or did he mean another word for grin? Maybe the character in the song has a name ie womans name.
Maybe 19 D is NYNY. Don't get the producer reference.Is it a record producer. Possible connection to Say Hi To Mick and New York City.

Thanks Noel, really helps to have some other answers to work from. Is 32 D CA or maybe LA? Wasn't sure about 15A - doesn't seem to fit in my grid with other answers unless I've muddled some up! But apart from that, have got a few more:
40A Braun (very clever!!) 34A Each Struggling with 5D though and 10 and 28 .......
Need to rest my brain a little now. Over to you again ....
20A and 15A Dun Laoghaire - have I spelt that right?? 45A Nasal - think you'll be beaten up or thrown out of the BG gigs, Suss! Unless you go into 14D (hiding) and avoid being on the 28D (news)

Just realised that my clue for 11A is wrong. That one given was meant for 17A when I had answer as 'ever', before I chose 'eyes' in preference. Just pasted it in by mistake.
11A is only half the producer referenced in 19D
I reckon you're only missing 10A, 11A, 51A, 60A, 7D, 19D and 43D. Haven't seen 40D mentioned, but you've got 48D so assume that's known.

Not sure about the Ian Smith ones- was actually looking through a book about the Rhodesian Civil War in the library the other day, so lots of stuff about Ian Smith. Maybe the answer to the puzzle is in that book!
Well done to Lisa- you got loads that had me stumped. I do find that I start mixing up the lyrics a bit. In Icicle In The Sun 'she looks out onto the bay' rather than 'grins tootlessly'.
The revised 11A was just a rapidly conceived 'half the producer' clue, hence TO. The original clue about taking top off was intended for 17A when 17A it was 'EVER' not 'EYES', so Never without top is Ever.
In similar vein, Ian loses head is just 'an', and gutless Ian is just 'in'.
As for 'she grins toothlessly' - that's just a straight lift of lyric from ELU.
