Have just booked to see the Rats at Porth, which is about 10 miles nw of Cardiff, on 28 April. This is my first time seeing the band live in its current incarnation so hope it goes well. Perhaps a few of the forum members will be there so will say hello!

My itinerary is a bit all over the place, but I get a nicely timed 8.50 am flight to Gatwick arriving at 10.10 Will get advance fair £22 Paddington to Cardiff train arriving in Cardiff early/mid afternoon,  a quick two hour whizz on First Great Western. Hopefully meet up with Suss in Cardiff before heading for Porth, but not finalised yet.(Will send pm)

Staying in hotel in Cardiff Saturday night and flying out on cheap £25 flight from Bristol airport at 1.15 on Sunday afternoon.

Doing it this way works out cheaper by about a third, and avoids 6am flight on Saturday morning. Aer Lingus direct flight on 28 Apr were quite expensive  (  the route is nickmamed The Rugby Shuttle)

Noel,

Sent you a PM with my itinerary - hopefully can spare you the train journey there if not too late. Downside is you might have to come to Palace with me first smile, playing Cardiff in London ironically enough.

Can't remember if Wes is going - got a feeling he said he'll be away for that one.

Cheers,

Suss
