I know, it half makes you wonder whether it's been done on purpose.......in addition, their biggest hit is now 'I DON'T LIKE MONDAY'

Let's hope the proof readers sort it out before it goes to print. Everything is all slapdash, done at break neck speed now, nobody cares anymore.  We can all make the odd mistake, but some of my colleagues (or colleges as I have seen them type) are making an entire career out of poor English, yet 20 years ago they would not have got jobs on such a basis. Just last year, I saw someone's 'Holyday' request and when I corrected them, their next request was headed up 'Annewal Leave'

Even the Telegraph referred to the Boomrats Rats the other day.

They could of (sic) tried harder?

I have to confess it does all look a bit rushed, even the track order doesn't seem to have been thought about too much and Having My Picture Taken is a bit of a surprise choice when two top thirty singles are omitted.

PS - if there are spelling mistooks (sic) or bad grandma (sic) in this post, it's the predictive text, honest guv!

Quite. Several tracks, although fabulous and part of hit albums, were never 'Classic Hits' and leaving out House on Fire & Elephant's Graveyard doesn't feel right. I don't know anyone who's heard Back to Boomtown yet, so quite how this track is 'classic' is beyond me.

Classic Rats Tracks

Classic Rats Tunes

there are other options......

If it is hits, it should be, in order of hitness ...

  1. Mondays
  2. Rat Trap
  3. Banana Republic
  4. Someone's Looking
  5. Like Clockwork
  6. Looking After Number One
  7. She's So Modern
  8. Diamond Smiles
  9. Mary of the Fourth Form
  10. House on Fire
  11. Elephant's Graveyard
  12. Drag Me Down
  13. Never In A Million Years
  14. Tonight

As none of the other singles broke the top 75,  hits would be stretching it, so de facto hits like Joey, Dave and Do The Rat could merit inclusion to make up the numbers.
