Memory is not what it used to be so have to do some googling. Nirana released All Apologies/Rape Me as a DAS in 1993. To be honest I never got the Pistols, but I did like Nirvana a lot back in the day.

Stones Lets Spend/Ruby Tuesday is way up there too a DAS from 1967 when I was 2.smile Remember it well.

Penny Lane/Strawberry Fields was a double A side as was  Bowie's Starman/Suffragette City.

We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions was also a worthy DAS though Queen were never my cup of tea. Also Abba had a few DAS singles back in the day,

Really wanted to say best is Rivers of Babylon/Brown Girl in the Ring but sadly the latter was officially a B side cry

Surprised by that.   There are a few B-sides that were the actual hits, most notably Groove Is In the Heart (Dee-Lite).  Fcuk knows what the A-side was.

I was surprised too. Might have been one of those that got A/A on later pressing due to popularity I suppose, if that's possible. Haven't researched it. Contrary to popular belief I'm not that big a fan.

I think the best example of 'equality' for me is Fat Bottomed Girls/Bicycle Race, but on the whole agree with previous that one track is generally considered the natural A side.

I suppose The Beatles had a few late on to keep the peace between John, Paul and latterly George, but by and large one song does dominate.

I'd like to change my best to mis-shapes/sorted for Es & wizz by pulp. Far better than the pistols.
