Might provide some hope for Citizens, but the new Who LP is pretty decent. Opening track, All This Music Must Fade is quite brilliant! I dont wanna get wise is also superb.
Believe the hype, it is their best LP since Quadrophenia.

Will check it out. Peter Perrett of The Only Ones latest album Humanworld is another example of high standards from a classic old skool songwriter, in fact Perrett easily would be in my top ten all time favourites. Just love his voice too ,sounds great since he quit smoking a few years back.

If LC was listed, would that leave Modern and Diamond Smiles battling it out for 8th place? They reached 12 and 13 respectively on the singles chart. But is it too simplistic to assume Modern shifted more units?
Diamond Smiles is not in the top 8. The eight I listed are. Just an anomaly that Mary had a lower position. I suspect that would hold up in terms of sales and weeks on chart.

Never been a massive fan, but like a fair bit of their output. Had the chance to check some of the new album out and its good. Those tracks above I particularly like, Rogers voice sounds as strong as ever. Also like Ball and Chain, particularly the piano work on it. As you say, builds hope for Citizens of Boomtown.

I wasnt a massive fan until probably about four years ago when I first saw them live. Have to be selective though. Quadrophenia, Tommy and Whos Next are great LPs but the Live LPs showcase them best. Live at Leeds in particular. When I was visiting universities with son, have to confess I did build up Leeds so I could do my homage trip. The Rats playing Brighton also ticks the boxes. Have to find a pinball...
