... now interest rates are going to be 0.1%.

12 years after the credit crunch there is nowhere to go. 

I am not sure we can just sit inside for months on end, the collateral damage will be too extreme.  We might have to just live with (or die by) Covid-19 and accept the consequences...

 I think you may be right. If this goes on for more than 12 weeks, then the longer it goes on the more there will be nothing to live for. People can only 'comply' for so long. We will risk civil unrest and total collapse of the economy and society if this persists into autumn and winter. We have to hope the better weather helps weaken the virus, treatment and vaccines progress and these extreme measures bear fruit.

 There are a few potential vaccines. One is a very cheap, old anti malaria drug called chloroquine. Also interesting drug called Remdesivir seems to be helpful.

I think a vaccine may be available sooner than we think. The two drugs I mention can also reduce symptoms. Short term its gonna be 'don't stand so close to me'.smile
