Yes!!! Maybe this time, but he's up against Oxfam amongst others. Not sure about Bono.

I hope he wins, too!  Even if he may win with Bono - splitting the prize.  That should shut up a few wankers who trod on our Bob!

He has been nominated a number of times, so hopefully this will be the year he is chosen.  Too bad the winner will not go to Sweden to get the prize.  I was just there in early August.  It is really a beautiful place.  Just lovely.

Lets keep our fingers crossed and say a few prayers for Sir Bob to win this time!

I remember when Bob was nominated for the first time back in 1985 or 1986. He didn't get it then, but I remember reading a qoute from the Nobel committee saying something like:

"Bob Geldof (Band Aid) is doing very good work, but he and his organization have to prove themselves on the long term first, before he will be eligible for the Peace Prize."

Well, is 21 years long enough...? I think so!

Maybe they should be reminded of that!

I know that this doesn't count in, but you can vote about who dou you like to see winning the Nobel Peace Prize. Curently Bob and Bono are first.

I've put this on my bulletin in myspace, maybe all my friends can copy it and pass it on to their friends. Get more votes for them both!

I hate to be the one to tell the bad news, but it looks like Bob didn't win (AGAIN).

The Nobel Peace Prize goes to Muhammad Yunus.

Well Bob maybe you will get it in 2025.

Are you sure?

Well maybe next time...

Actually, I wonder if Sir Bob really cares at this point?  Anyone ever see him interviewed re. winning the prize?

I don't think he expects it. He usually just jokes about it, as does Bono. The trouble is everyone nominated is equally diserving of it.
